Kia Linder-Bey, ‘23 (Philadelphia)
When Kia enrolled in CU, she was employed as a groundskeeper with the Philadelphia Housing Authority (PHA). Through PHA’s CU Enrollment Partnership, Kia received her college degree and found a new passion for teaching. She is pursuing a Master’s Degree (and hopefully a doctorate). She is now a CU alumni mentor because she is passionate about helping others achieve the same results.
What Do We Need from You?
We prioritize seamless partnerships. CU provides the resources and support needed to integrate our programs into your existing structures, allowing you to focus on your core mission while we handle the educational aspects.
Your commitment includes:
- Identifying potential students in your organization.
- Supporting tuition costs (not necessary, but it overcomes a barrier for CU students). CU is committed to making college as affordable for our students as possible.
- Providing space for students to meet as a cohort after work.
- Involvement and interest in supporting collaborative efforts with your CU student.
