City, volunteer barbers help kids look sharp for first day of school

The new school year is well underway in Providence! To help make the first days easier, CU student Shawndell Burney, Mayor Jorge Elorza and the nonprofit organization, The Institute for the Study & Practice of Non-Violence, along with barbers who volunteered their time facilitated the Back to School Cut-A-Thon! CU student and barber Derek Brown was also a part of this great day. Thank you CU students for all that you do to make our city better!
